RandomCam vs Chatroulette: Which Is Better in 2026?

If you're choosing a random chat site, Chatroulette is the name everyone knows. But newer platforms like RandomCam have addressed the problems that made the original frustrating. Here's how they compare.

Moderation. Chatroulette's moderation has historically been inconsistent, and unmoderated content is a common complaint. RandomCam moderates every message with AI and enforces a strict 18+ no-nudity policy — the single biggest reason to choose it.

Matching options. Chatroulette is pure random. RandomCam keeps the spontaneity but adds optional filters: match by interest, language, gender, country, and even city.

Accounts. Neither requires an account to start chatting. RandomCam adds an optional sign-in for premium features like undoing a skip, instant skipping, and auto-translate.

Free vs paid. Both are free to use. RandomCam's paid tier is optional and focused on better matching, not hiding core features behind a paywall.

The verdict. If you want the classic unfiltered roulette feel, Chatroulette still works. But for a safer, smarter, and better-moderated experience in 2026, RandomCam is the stronger choice. Try it free at randomcam.app.
